The event is jointly organised by the French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions and NetworkNature in collaboration with UNP+, Biodiversa +,  Sorbonne University, and the City of Paris.  

 

The French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLU-BIOD)

Funded as part of the French government's France 2030 investment plan, the French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLU-BIOD) aims to promote innovative scientific approaches that support the design, implementation, and evaluation of NbSIts strategy is structured around several key pillars: the production of new knowledge, the mobilization of the scientific community in co-production with local stakeholders, the rigorous evaluation of the effectiveness of NbS through a network of living laboratories deployed across France and the strengthening of academic and professional training. It also seeks to foster the emergence of a new economic sector with strong social and environmental benefits.

NetworkNature

NetworkNature is a Horizon Europe funded resource for the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) community, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic action to maximise the impact of NbS in Europe and beyond. NetworkNature clusters and connects more than 100 EU-funded NbS research and innovation projects, including Horizon 2020 and EU Mission initiatives.

UNP+

The UrbanNaturePlansplus project, funded by Horizon Europe,strives to make urban nature the norm, not the exception. Through collaborative research and action, the project is developing and testing the UrbanNaturePlansplus Framework, as well as, materials and tools to support cities in working on their urban nature plans. 

Biodiversa+

Biodiversa+ is the European Biodiversity Partnership supporting excellent research and innovation with impact for policy and society. It contributes to the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030, helping to put Europe’s biodiversity on a path to recovery. Building on experience gained since 2005 through BiodivERsA and co-funded by the European Commission, Biodiversa+ brings together a pan-European network of research funding organisations and environmental policy actors, aligning research, policy needs and practice to support transformative change.

City of Paris  

As host city of the Conference in November, the City of Paris stands as a global leader in advancing sustainable urban development and the integration of Nature-based Solutions in densely populated urban areas. The City of Paris is a key partner in the UNP+ project, contributing with its expertise and experience to help make urban nature plans a standard policy component of city planning across Europe. In addition, Paris is a co-organiser of the Cities Festival, taking place during the NetworkNature week and co-hosted by UNP+ in collaboration with NetworkNature.
